Base64 encode & decode — text, images and files

Base64 represents binary data using 64 safe ASCII characters, which is how images get embedded in CSS and HTML, how email attachments travel, and how many APIs ship binary payloads inside JSON.

Lindajzmin’s encoder is fully UTF-8 safe, so accented letters, non-Latin scripts and emoji round-trip correctly — a common failure of naïve tools. Switch to the URL-safe alphabet for tokens and URLs, or turn any file into a ready-to-paste data URL, CSS rule or HTML tag.

How to use it

  1. Pick a mode: Text, File → Base64, or Base64 → File.
  2. Type, paste or drop your input — results are live.
  3. Copy the output or download it as a file.
